Firefly

*To be stalked by the Firefly is to experience unimaginable lust. To die by the creature’s touch is to endure the rapture of a lifetime.* The ordeal begins on a remote estate in the sparsely settled hardwood hemlock of north central Florida, where a groundskeeper discovers the first corpse, the dessicated body of a hunter, diminished to a pile of clothes, skin, and bones. There is a predator on the loose—the Firefly, as it comes to be called—which lures and then entraps its victims by emitting intense pheromones, chemicals that cue human sexual reactions more powerful than any occurring in nature. For those living in the Firefly’s hunting grounds, this incredible threat becomes a catalyst for overwhelming emotions, unexpected unions, the unraveling of long-suppressed lies and morbid desires.
