Yvonne Verdi is the wonder-girl of the publishing world and coowner of the popular teen magazine Flash. Unfortunately, she has a talent for making enemies and has been receiving threatening messages. When Yvonne enlists Nancy’s help, the girl sleuth gets a job at the magazine as assistant to Yvonne’s partner, Mick Swanson. Her position gives Nancy the perfect vantage point to see who has issues with Yvonne, but when she starts to suspect her new boss, Nancy calls in her boyfriend, Ned Nickerson, as backup. To her shock, Ned appears to develop a crush on Mick’s sister—leaving Nancy questioning their relationship and with no reliable help on the case! Can she solve this mystery on her own before she becomes the next target?
