Following the death of her mother, Alison’s family life is in turmoil. Her father, Henk, numbs his trauma with alcohol while her brother Tommy detaches himself from reality by retreating into the world of video games. After a horrific experience at the hands of some mean girls at school, Alison makes a decision that will have tragic consequences for all involved.
