Detective Max Grady isn’t a detective anymore. After a case goes south, Grady has been sidelined. His life is in shambles. His mom is dead, his brother is sick and his only consolation is a lot of beer at the local watering hole, the Amber Cat. That is, until another body, just like his mom’s, is found. Now Grady has questions. Was her overdose an accident… or something more? With no badge, no backing and no support, Grady goes on the hunt for her killer.
