Beware: when you set out to destroy the devil, it is easy to become the monster you seek to destroy.
Nearly a year after the solar flare, Jared and his friends realize they can no longer live within the corrupt reach of the military tyrant, Colonel Carnegie, and his small army of soldiers. Jared and company must make a decision: flee or stay and fight for a better life. With their food stocks running dangerously low, Jared must stand and face the devil himself. As Jared embarks on this most dangerous task, he agonizes over the possibility of losing friends in a fight for the greater good of the community. Jared knows he will struggle mightily to ensure a congruent co-existence between the impending fight and the integrity of his moral compass. More importantly, Jared has grown to understand the perfect balance he seeks is simply not attainable because the trappings of perfection no longer exist.
