This book is simply stunning. I received it as a gift and read it aloud to my son and *I* couldn’t wait to read it every evening. The language is exquisite and so enjoyable to read aloud. And my son and I both were enthralled with the double stories, the main story and all the accompanying Chinese folk tales. I purchased the other two books in the trilogy to read aloud and will keep all three for my daughter to read to her. I’ve read a lot of really good MG fiction in the last year, and this one is by far the best. And it was typo-free! My editor eyes were never distracted from the story!
