Our independent and in love heroine Kassie gets thrown enough challenges in her relationship with her fiancé to floor a normal woman, yet manages to forge her own unique responses and solutions. Valerie Taylor once again kept me on the edge of my seat wondering what endearing but flawed Kassie would do or react to next. I want to know whether she will actually take the big job in Paris, welcome the baby of her fiance (conceived with another woman when they were on a ‘break’), and/or comfortably manage her ex-husband’s company. What’s Not Lost, like What’s Not Said and What’s Not True before it, is full of familiar and unfamiliar situations, unexpected obstacles, surprising and not so surprising reactions, and elegant plot twists right to the end. Plus, who wouldn’t love a story that includes Paris, Greece, a woman in charge of a big company merger, a wise BFF, and an endearing cat? I highly recommend it.
