In this volume there are not only songs to strum and sing for the beginner, but also chord melodies and opportunities to learn about music and start improvising for the player knows a few chords, can read TAB, and wants to take their playing to the next level.
We begin by exploring major keys (F, G, C and D), then minor keys (Dm, Cm and Am), learning a variety of songs and chord melody arrangements and some advanced fingerpicking and strumming. As the book progresses scales are introduced and improvisation encouraged. By the end of this book you will be able to play all the common chords in all the popular keys (and also the “unpopular” keys just by shifting the same chords shapes up or down a fret or two!) You will also have the musical knowledge to transpose songs into whatever key you choose.
