Everyone loves cakes and eating them, irrespective of their status, gender, or age.
I love cakes too and for someone who loved cakes a lot, I never wanted to learn how to bake cakes. I prefer having to run to the cake store across the street to get my cakes anytime I needed them, which was almost all the time because like I earlier said, I love cake!
My obsession with cakes didn’t warrant any occasion. I didn’t need any occasion to buy and eat cakes. I ate cakes anytime I wanted to!
One day in my 23rd year, my older cousin, Tabitha came to the house to visit. As usual, I ran all the way to the store to get her a cake, just to celebrate her visit.
Before she left, I had bought as many cakes as I could afford. To her surprise, I was on my seventh cake in two days when she sat me down to enlighten me on why I needed to start baking my cakes myself.
Her reasons are:
* When I start baking my cakes, I can explore as many different flavors as I wanted. Rather than making do with the only flavors that I could get at the store per time, I can work with unlimited flavors by myself.
* When I start baking, I won’t find it difficult to get the perfect gifts for people. As I said, people love cakes. Regardless of whether it is for a wedding, anniversary, or birthday, I could bake any cake as a gift for the celebrants. Hence, I am cutting costs and saving money!
* I could make money from it! She explained that rather than being the one to consistently spend my hard-earned money on buying from others, I could start baking and selling to others too!

The last reason stuck!! While I didn’t learn cake baking to sell cakes, I learned cake baking for a wider purpose, to teach people how to become a cake guru like me!
