Two weeks have passed since the lights went out and in that time, Nicholas McNeil has assembled the equipment, a team of devoted survivors and has located a safe place to go bunker down, the catch is that it’s over a thousand miles away. He is ready for a tough journey but as the miles grow longer he discovers he’s not quite as prepared for what mankind is capable of until he’s face to face with it. He discovers the once picturesque landscape has been replaced with brutality and barbarism. Can the defiant few make it and if they do, will they only find more of the same there?
