The Boy in the Striped Pajamas will compel you to see the world differently. The perspective of a young child as he perceives and interprets the tragedies unfolding around him gave me pause. Although naive, the lead character has superb instincts on the nature of those that surround him. Honest, powerful, and tragic. I could not put this book down, and I have thought about it many times since finishing.
