**Sitting for an oil painting might feel like torture, but what if it truly is? What if you wind up dead? ​** Everyone keeps telling Morgan she’s incredibly lucky to get the chance to have her portrait painted by the fabulous Ember West. But Ember’s demands are increasingly uncomfortable and almost impossible to meet. The rest of her family are gushing with praise for Ember’s talent, but slowly Morgan begins to uncover a family with secrets, a family who lies as easily as they enjoy Ember’s wealth and fame. Then, Morgan finds out that at least one of Ember’s previous portrait subjects is dead. Are there more? And worse, is Morgan next?
