Description

A poor war widow is desperate for a job. She owes on her rent and even contemplates marrying the wrong man – all for the sake of her beloved dog, Terry. A wonderful little story by the Queen of Crime for dog lovers everywhere. The short story was previously published in the print anthologies ‘The Golden Ball and Other Stories’, and ‘Problem at Pollensa Bay and Other Stories’. It first appeared in ‘Grand Magazine’ in 1929.
