I read this for a Sociology class, but had known the story before starting it and I’m so glad I read it. This story is both beautiful and heartbreaking and badass at the same time. It takes the reader into the mind of a survivor, especially one in the public eye, and makes us see the pure agony and intensity of sexual assault. For those that are survivors it gives insight to emotions they know well. and for those who haven’t experienced this it took on a whole new meaning. I was captivated by Miller’s writing and agonizing honesty from cover to cover. If you have any hesitation to read a story like this, read it, you will not be disappointed or feel like time was wasted
