Jeremy’s mom will die in one year. He’s a time traveller, and a necromancer. He can save her. If she’ll let him.
Everyone knows how these things work. If a butterfly flaps its wings, it causes a tsunami. But saving an entire life? That’s a way bigger impact than the flight of a butterfly.
Melissa isn’t wishful for death. But now, seeing her children as adults, leading happy lives, having children, built into beautiful people, she can’t risk interfering. Of course she wants to see her babies grow up, but… In a way, she’s getting that opportunity now. She sees who they’ll grow into, and that’s… enough, isn’t it?
Jeremy does not agree, and with the time Melissa has left, he’s going to do everything in his power to convince her of the same.
