When God kills Sam during a battle of the gods, our young man is thrust into a world unlike anything he could imagine. Surviving off video game knowledge, he must traverse dungeons to survive. With his own domain in the design of his small apartment, he is the last line in defense against the hordes from Darkness.
Equipped with a unique class, he finds fighting harder than expected. That is until he’s able to summon his first companion. A young dragonkin that takes a liking to the human. With a bond forming between the two, the duo start training in earnest.
Riches await the duo as they traverse dungeon after dungeon. But what they unveil is something that will change the game forever. Mana Crystals. A resource that is available on every world. But what Sam finds is something far more pure than anything discovered before. The monsters want them. The gods are wary of them. And when the bosses start to grow in power, he finds himself fighting a league above his own.
Thankfully his partner can train the run of the mill human. He’s going to need all the help he can get if he’s to discover why Mana Crystals are so dangerous. He just hopes he can survive long enough to correct the problem, and not enter the void like all of those that fall in this dangerous line of work.
