Descent into Hell is a fictional interpretation of Galatians 6.2 – Bear one another’s burdens. However, Chs Williams takes that up as a spiritual, if not sacramental reality. This story changed forever my view of what it means to bear one another’s burdens. Williams also demonstrates the insidious self-destroying effect of lust. And, the merciful power of self-sacrifice. The story is complex and somewhat difficult to read but well worth the effort.
