These stories are so real and the emotions are raw and relatable. I think I have cried at the end of almost every single book in this series.
Curvy Girls Can’t Date Princes is Faith’s story. Her family consists of her mom and dad and 4 brothers. Her parents are church goers and are known to teach abstinence and because of this they have been given the opportunity to be a host family to Leo. Or Leopold Williams; prince of Laughlin.
Faiths mother doesn’t think Leo would be interested in her at all so that’s why he is allowed to stay at the house. Leo sees Faith for who she is and not for her appearance though. I loved how real Leo seemed considering he is a prince who has everything done for him or handed to him.
Faith is not only struggling with her feelings for Leo but she is also adopted but has no idea who her birth mother is. I loved the grandmother in this story and I was really glad that Faith had her in her life. She was definitely a highlight to this story as was Leo and his feelings for Faith. I love how supportive the curvy girls are to each other and even a few interesting outsiders.
I did feel like this story dragged on a bit in the beginning but things definitely picked up after the prom scene. I’m glad we finally got to find out who is paying for these AV club lunches and we got to see some huge character developments. I enjoyed Barclays character as well and I thought the bonus scene was a cute first date for a certain couple.
