I am so in love with this story. The closeness of all of the characters is what keeps me coming back for more. When you hear grumpy character you think male character. Or at least I do. But not here. June is the grumpy character here. Her childhood and the fact her mother practically abandoned her and her siblings makes her the way she is. She is not a hugger or a cuddler. Well until Apollo. She has always been short and nasty with him. Something that happened when they were young and she still carries it with her today. Apollo on the other hand can’t get enough of her. He would take her attitude towards him over never speaking to her. When they are together the sparks fly. They are explosive inside the bedroom as well as out.I loved seeing them go at each other. And once she confided in him the reason for her treatment towards him it was like a dam collapsing. Deep feelings she ignored for him started to surface. Although she didn’t want anyone to know they were together, it didn’t stop them. Why tell anyone in case it didn’t work out.If Apollo had his own way he would shout it from the rooftops. But he would be patient. Afterall he still had her even if no one knew. The rest would follow.A five star read you won’t be able to put down. Even includes a ghost named Rose always coming back for more.
