Cliff Deckard is a successful copy editor for one of the best advertising agencies in The Big Apple. Heather Bowles is a struggling freelance animal behaviorist living in The Little Apple. Manhattan, Kansas that is. The two should never meet. But when Cliff’s eccentric great aunt dies, he inherits everything she owned. A rundown and cluttered house in the middle of Kansas, a sizable chunk of money, and a very angry cat. All his, if he agrees to keep the cat in comfort until she dies of natural causes. He hires Heather to help him tame the beast but she does more than that. Their mutual attraction is undeniable as is their mutual disdain for the other’s career. Can Cliff set aside his notions of success? Can Heather see past his? They’ll have to if they want to see where this attraction leads.
