The second book in the Cold Case Justice series picks right up where the first one left off with more power-packed action and suspense. Unless you are a reader who turns to the end of the book to see how things turn out before reading the rest of the book, I definitely recommend you read this series in sequence. Still struggling with the lack of complete resolution regarding the murder of her parents years earlier, Detective Abby Hart is thrown into a serious crisis that almost knocks her out of the game early in the story. I love the elements of faith and tough love that have such an impact on Abby and how she learns from her own experiences to help others. Luke and Woody have teamed up to look for missing girls and to work a few cold cases. All three of them are seeking in their own way to bring closure to families suffering from devastating losses caused by the death of loved ones or other traumatic crimes involving them or family members. Romance lies just below the surface much like real life when handsome men encounter beautiful women. I appreciate that the author keeps it all clean and above board. The big question continues to revolve around the death of Abby’s parents and Luke’s uncle. Will they ever find out who is the mastermind behind these deaths? While helping others find closure, will Abby finally get the answers she is seeking? And is she going to marry Ethan or not?
