A washerwoman with a serious attitude problem and few skills, her future is bleak. When the capital commandeers those in her village who can grow food with tribal magic, she leaves with them, hoping for a better life. Or at least a constant supply of food.
She doesn’t expect to become the greatest ruler the country has ever known.
Queen Avan consists of three parts. It is set two hundred years before the events of The Flawed Princess and can be read, before, after or independently.
