Heart-wrenching yet hopeful, Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe is a profound coming-of-age story about two vastly different Mexican American teenagers who form a deep and somewhat inexplicable connection. This quietly beautiful tale is a must-read for fans of They Both Die at the End.

I purchased this book on the recommendation of a fellow bookseller and I am extremely happy that I did. Once I began reading I was unable to put the book down. I found myself sucked into the struggles and daily life of Ari as he struggles with emotionally connecting with his father and those around him. I loved the way the relationship between Ari and Dante was handled, with a part of the book dealing with Dante’s growing realization regarding his own sexuality. I don’t want to say more for fear of spoiling the best parts of the book. However, I can not recommend this enough.
