Description

The scene is Monmouth’s Rebellion, set in the West Country in seventeenth century England. As the ill-fated and weak ‘King Monmouth’ attempts to rally his insubordinate troops, Anthony Wilding embarks upon his own quest – to woo his unwilling bride.
