All we have is now, written by Lisa Schroeder, is a book about 2 teen friends, and is a glorious novel which I very much enjoyed, all the characters were a huge part. There were a few ups and there were a few downs, but I really loved the plot all around, besides a sort of random area which is the thing that includes practically the entire Northwest part of the U.S. is getting hit by a meteor that will kill everyone. I really like the little poems in between these chapters and the main characters, Vince and Emerson, which really have a bond that wouldn’t break. They have always had each others’ backs ever since they found each other, off of a street as Vince was performing something. Emerson, the teen girl, was a runaway child, who had run away from her family of her father and mother and her sister. She had nothing and was on the streets when she met vince, another teen which also happened to have no particular family. In general it was a phenomenal read because I really had a pleasure reading about how generous and kind these teens were, especially Vince and had an all-round personality which I can relate to, like how I’m usually generous or humorous. The author of this book who had also written “The Bridge from Me to You” is an excellent author in my opinion, I loved the tone and how these characters could resonate off as I do. Although I have said these really nice things, I still don’t believe it would be my first pick if I had to pick any book, merely because of the reason that it is more of a short read. This book is very fit for audiences like teens because of how general this book is and how some people including me can relate to these people. They can also be good for read-alouds if you’re willing to read for a long period of time, because this book definitely made me sleepy, not in a bad way of course. Overall, the book is a wonderful paperback book and I would probably read it again if I had the chance to. The book had good details, especially sensory details, it had a plot that was easy to follow, and finally, it gave a good feeling when you finish it.
