Sometimes, old dreams have to go in order for sweeter ones to get built.
Theresa is working on it. Working on getting her knee back to healthy after surgery, working on letting go of her dream of cheering in college, working on figuring out what she’s going to do now other than work for her mom. And most of all, working on finding something new to be happy about.
Ceecee is making it work. Making the bakery she inherited from her mother work, even through the financial struggles, making all the band aid repairs to the building work so her landlord doesn’t use the condition of the building as an excuse to kick her out so he can get higher paying tenants. And most of all, she’s making it work that she’s single, again, and starting to think that’s never going to change. If they learn to work together, and trust the ingredients they’re bringing, they may find they have what they need to make the sweetest dessert.
