Ashar’s life changed the night four extra bones grew on his back. Since, he has endured years of tests and specialist visits, believing his life to be at risk.
When he discovers the truth–that his parents had offered him as a subject for research in exchange for money, and an anonymous letter arrives warning him of the intent to remove one of his extra bones, Ashar leaves everything he has ever known to find his own way.
His newfound freedom is short-lived when war strikes America, and a powerful enemy rises up to threaten the entire world.
Fighting to survive, Ashar clings to his small faith when he realizes a prophecy is coming to fruition and he must make a choice–to trust that he has been chosen and his purpose may be his own death, or to give in to the enemy taking over the world.
