No Shrinking Violet

With two new, unexpected allies, a housekeeper who enjoys amateur sleuthing and the unwanted affections of an otherwise aloof vicarage cat, Reverend Daisy Bloom is back in this second book of the popular Lillymouth Mysteries series.
Tensions are high in Lillymouth as some of the locals attempt to move a group of environmental activists who have settled on the headland just outside of town. Leading the way is Violet Glendinning, wife of the local bank manager, head of the parish council, and self-appointed protector of ‘the way things used to be.’
Daisy is reluctantly given the role of keeper of the peace, though she would much rather be focusing on her own personal conflicts.
When one of the newcomers is found dead shortly after an altercation with Violet, it is not long before she finds herself faced with uncomfortable enquiries.
