There currently are two competing models of the scientific enterprise: reductionism and antireductionism. **Marco J. Nathan** is Associate Professor and Chair in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Denver. His research focuses on the philosophy of science, with particular emphasis on biology, neuroscience, cognitive neuropsychology, and economics.
