Chess Openings

Chess Openings presents major and minor variations of commonly played opening systems. This intermediate book in the Chess Detective® series provides a base of knowledge to aid the reader in selecting opening systems that are right for them.
Easy-to-follow flowcharts show the major openings and variations, separated into three main sections: 1.e4, 1.d4 and Flank Openings.
Opening main lines and frequently played alternative lines are presented, along with a brief summary with middlegame objectives for each player.
