5.0 out of 5 stars: Well-written, fast-paced sequel that packs its own punch! *👍👍
I found this sequel to Frerich’s Girl From the Tree House about a woman with multiple personalities very compelling as it continues Elise/Lily’s story past her HFN and on to a presumably quiet and contented future in the bush of New Zealand’s wild West Coast… I have to admit that the first thing that drew me to Frerich’s work was the promise of a New Zealand setting, but the human psychological drama and thrilling suspense were what really hooked me. I am now a firm Frerichs fan! (Amazon review, Avid Reader)*
**Just when Elise is ready for a new life, flames crackle, and stability and happiness go up in smoke.**
The only thing that helps her stay sane is that no human remains were found in Scott’s burnt-out cabin.
Grief-stricken but determined to find who is responsible for the fire, she starts digging and investigating.
The TRIBE, well on its way to integrate, is again on her side, fighting intruders and solving the riddle of her aunt’s and her parent’s death.
When she considers selling her house, the mortal danger is knocking down her door once again.
Can she calm the turmoil within one more time and rally the strength of her Tribe to fight back, or is it too late?
**BEYOND THE TREEHOUSE** is book #2 in the psychological thrillers’ series set in current-day New Zealand. It concludes Elizabeth’s story as she, a forty-two-year-old woman with multiple personalities (Dissociative Identity Disorder, DID), fights for survival.
