This book attempts to prove that in several key areas, the Religious Right is getting it wrong. These areas include support for the following: giant corporations, war and hawkish foreign policy, Israel, and a misplaced patriotism that can lead to idolatry. But rather than arguing from a liberal or anti-Christian viewpoint, the author quotes hundreds of scriptures throughout the book. Every chapter is based on a foundation of either what the Bible tells us to expect, or what it tells us to believe on certain issues. With hundreds of footnotes documenting numerous sources, this book explains how well-meaning people have been largely led astray by the media, the influences of this world, and incorrect explanations of scripture.
