Aside from their interactions with specific cells and tissues, several types of biopolymers and composites exist. Specific cellular mechanisms in tissue regeneration are also taken into account to better understand the effects of biopolymers on regulating cellular structures, given their benefits and drawbacks. Furthermore, the changes required to simulate the properties of brain, cardiac, bone, and skin tissues are explored. The use of biopolymer-based composites in tissue engineering required additional advances, and various hurdles must be solved. This book project focuses on biopolymers used in tissue engineering and provides guidance for the development of future bio composites for the same purpose.
